Federal Workers Compensation Insurance rules are in place, but the program is largely governed at a state level. Rules also differ between public and private employers. You may notice that only Texas has a truly Elective Law. However, even in Workers Comp Cumpulsory State’s, many variations exist - and some have exemptions. The table we published is a good starter point for your research, but we urge you to speak to a qualified local carrier or your state workman’s compensation division.
